Featuring the TBSO | Paul Haas conducting
The TBSO celebrates our planet and the rapturous emergence of spring, witnessing creation in full force.
The Earth Day concert starts by looking back at winter with Mark Dancigers’ misty and evocative tone poem, Snow, then moving into Aaron Copland’s glorious Appalachian Spring. From there we explore Verdi’s expansive and playful Spring from his “Four Seasons”, before closing with one of Beethoven’s finest works, the masterful Symphony no. 4 in B-Flat Major—perhaps one of the finest musical expressions evoking Earth’s sublime complexity and majesty.
