TBSOpened
The TBSOpened program allows students and other visitors to experience an open dress rehearsal, observing how a first-class orchestra puts together a first-class concert. The program is designed especially for instrumental music students. Before arriving at the rehearsal, a TBSO musician will come to the classroom to meet with the students and give a short introduction that familiarizes students with the structure and goals f the rehearsal. Inquiry driven curriculum is handed out to help students understand and engage with the process of rehearsal as it unfolds in the here-and-now of the moment. Once the rehearsal has ended, students are given the opportunity to ask questions and teachers are given supplementary materials to both further and integrate student learning. TBSOpened is a fantastic way for students to experience and understand the behind the scenes work of a professional symphony orchestra.
