TBS Chorus

Since its inception in Fall 1974, the Thunder Bay Symphony Chorus has performed a wider range of great choral repertoire, from Bach’s B Minor Mass to evenings of opera to the music of Queen.

Last season, the Chorus, along with the Lakehead Vocal Ensemble, amazed audiences when performing Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony: Ode to Joy!  The TBS Chorus also performed as part of the TBSO’s Very Merry Holiday Pops and Jeans ‘n Classics Music of the Beatles: Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

The Thunder Bay Symphony Chorus is proudly sponsored by Lafarge Canada Inc.

Our Mission – To be a member of the Thunder Bay Symphony Chorus is to work in harmony with the Symphony Orchestra in an atmosphere of professionalism and commitment. Chorus members are dedicated to choral
excellence. They value the opportunity to perform challenging works on a professional level and they take pride in the special contribution that their musical offering makes to the cultural life of Thunder Bay. Chorus members come together as many voices to make music. They are united by a love of music, of singing, of learning and working together.
