Executive Director/General Manager
In addition to providing hands-on leadership and oversight to daily operations and finance, our new Executive Director/ General Manager will be an effective communicator and consensus builder, strengthening team spirit and unity of purpose within the organization, while enhancing and creating vital partnerships within the community. Key indicators of success will include: maintaining positive working relationships with government funding agencies (federal, provincial and municipal), building support from private foundations and individual donors, increasing concert and special events attendance, developing a network of support from the business and corporate sector, and designing, in collaboration with the Board and other stakeholders, the strategic direction of the organization.
Our new Executive Director/General Manager will have demonstrated leadership abilities in complex organizations and possess exceptional organizational capabilities and highly collaborative and respectful interpersonal and communication skills. He or she will possess a sound understanding of the business community, have significant experience in the arts or not-for-profit sector and have a deep appreciation for orchestral music.
